Team comprised of representatives from ADB Mission Team, International experts with NHB staff visited CPC proposed site on 09th May, 2024 at CCRI, Nagpur with a purpose of site verification and technical inspection of proposed land with facilities available at institute to meet CPC standards.

Considering nationwide an infection rate of approximately 25% systemic pathogens, notably HLB and CTV, including Maharashtra, team suggested that establishing a CPC in an area of low disease pressure is not optimal/practical. Team advised thorough trainings in best management practices are essential for CPC staff managing the G1 block. The Mission suggests establishing G2 blocks in disease-free regions, managed directly by the CPC (G1) and Certification Program (G2), which would be responsible for overseeing curation and testing to prevent reinfection.
